Patna Viral Video: In a shocking display of unchecked “dadagiri,” a viral video from Patna has been doing the rounds. In the now viral video, parking mafia goons could be seen harassing an ambulance crew and its critically ill patient over an unpaid parking fee.

The incident, unfolding outside a busy hospital in the Bihar capital, has ignited a firestorm on social media, with netizens slamming the brazen act as a new low for lawlessness in the state.

Patna Viral Video-Bihar’s Parking Mafia Menace

This isn’t Patna’s first brush with parking predators. Bihar’s urban chaos has bred a parallel economy where unregulated contractors rule streets, hospitals, and markets.

A 2024 NIT Patna study pegged illegal parking collections at Rs. 1,200 crore annually statewide, with 70 percent unaccounted. In Patna alone, more than 150 hotspots report daily shakedowns, often clashing with ambulances and two-wheelers.

Last year, a similar fiasco in Muzaffarpur saw parking goons assault a doctor’s car, leading to a statewide crackdown that fizzled out. Activists blame lax enforcement; Bihar has just 1 parking marshal per 5,000 vehicles as per Road Transport data. “Mafia-police nexus is real,” alleges RTI activist Rakesh Kumar, who filed complaints against 20 Patna operators last month.

Social Media Storm

The video exploded online within hours, urging the wrath of social media users. A social media user commented, “Shame on this goondagardi! Bihar needs cleanup.” Another commented, “This isn’t isolated; Patna’s streets are mafia territory.”
