A fake video claiming that Premanand Maharaj was admitted to the hospital is going viral on social media. The video shows swelling on his body and bandages on both hands. But in reality, the saint has not gone on his usual pilgrimage for the past five days due to health reasons.
Viral Video Of Premanand Maharaj Being Hospitalised Is FAKE
As reported by Dainik Bhaskar, a devotee asked Premanand Maharaj about the video during his daily Ekantik Varta yesterday. The devotee said, “Teen din se hospital mein bharti hone ka video social media par chal raha hai.”
Maharaj clarified, “Dekhiye, teen din se hum bhi bade joron se Ekantik Varta kar rahe hain. Ekantik bhi to dekh lena chahiye. Humein lagta hai ki ye mobile hi jhoot bolvata hai.”
He also added, “Ab pata hi nahi chalta ki jhoot-sach kya hai. Kal yug ka kuch aisa prabhav ho gaya hai ki jhoot bahut zyada chalta hai. Ab pata hi nahi chal raha hai ki aadmi satya bolta kab hai. Jahan satya par humein vishwas hai, wahan bhi jhoot ka pravesh ho raha hai. Hum logon ko jhoot se bachna chahiye.”
When asked about AI and voice manipulation, a devotee said, “Maharaj ji, aajkal to AI ka trend hai. Aisa lagta hai ki sach mein aisa hua hai. Kaise aapki awaaz ko change kar diya jaata hai. Aap kisi ghadi ka prachar kar rahe hote hain. Kaha jaata hai ki ye ghadi bahut achhi hai. Aisa time deti hai ki aapka samay sahi ho jaayega.”
Premanand Maharaj replied, “Aaj hum keh sakte hain ki jhoot ka bahut bada aur satya ka bahut chhota kshetra reh gaya hai.”

Premanand Maharaj Is Recovering
According to a letter from his ashram, his pilgrimage has been suspended indefinitely due to health reasons. Following this, rumours spread widely on social media.
The saint has been undergoing daily dialysis at his flat for the past 6-7 days. Earlier, dialysis was done five days a week, but now it sometimes happens three days a week or even daily. Each session lasts 4-5 hours. His flat is in Shri Krishna Sharanam Society, where a team of six doctors attends to him during dialysis.
Premanand Maharaj has Polycystic Kidney Disease, first discovered in 2006. His kidneys were severely damaged, and he later moved to Vrindavan. Since then, he has been practising constant devotion and named his kidneys Krishna and Radha. Many doctors, including specialists from Australia, personally monitor his treatment.
Celebrities like Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have visited him in Vrindavan. Raj Kundra even offered to donate one of his kidneys, while several other devotees have expressed similar wishes.
His Early Life
Born as Aniruddh Kumar Pandey in Kanpur, he left home at the age of 13. He studied only until the eighth grade before dedicating his life fully to devotion. During his time in Kashi and Vrindavan, he often spent days without food and followed strict spiritual practices under his guru Gauri Sharan Ji Maharaj.
