CISF Steps In, FIR Filed Against Army Officer
The Srinagar Airport viral video shows the officer hitting staff with an object. CISF personnel quickly intervened and restrained him. In a statement, CISF said, “The incident took place during the boarding of SpiceJet flight SG-386 over a baggage-related issue. Our personnel handled the situation and ensured no flight delay. Action has been taken.”
SpiceJet has filed a police complaint and asked that the officer be banned from flying. The airline also sent CCTV footage of the incident to the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Strict Action Likely Under DGCA Rules
This assault could fall under Level 2 or Level 3 of the DGCA’s no-fly list rules. SpiceJet added, “We strongly condemn any act of violence against our employees and will take the matter to its full legal conclusion.”
