Varanasi Viral Video: A viral video from Deen Dayal District Hospital has caused a massive stir with netizens recommending stern action against staff members of the health department who were seen consuming alcohol inside the premises.

In the viral video, some employees of the Deen Dayal Upadhyay District Hospital’s pathology department could be seen partying with alcohol glasses out in day broad daylight during duty hours.
In the video, a lab technician and some staff members could be seen enjoying alcohol consumption. Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. RS Ram has now ordered an investigation.
The pathology department conducts blood tests for patients visiting the emergency and OPD departments. Additionally, samples for several essential blood tests of pregnant women coming to the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) wing for comprehensive maternal, new-born, reproductive, and child and adolescent health are also processed at the facility. The same room where alcohol was being served openly houses the testing machines.
A few months back, a video of lab technicians and other staff from the same hospital were seen dancing to Bhojpuri songs with staff nurses. In the dance case, only those whose faces were visible in the video received warnings, but no concrete action was taken. Now, once again, a video of pathology staff drinking alcohol has gone viral. It remains to be seen what action will be taken this time.
