The shocking video is going viral, showing an Indian tourist under attack by a Tiger in a popular Tiger Park in Thailand. The viral video is from the Tiger Kingdom in Phuket, Thailand. Just like any other tourist, the man tries to get pally with tigers, petting and taking selfies with them.
This turns the friendly tiger suddenly furious at the tourist. The viral video is sparking controversy on the internet, as people blame and question the careless treatment of tigers in such parks.
The horrifying video, as posted by @sidhshuk on the X handle on 29 May, shows a sudden change in the canine's mood. The Indian man, as we can see, was walking with the tiger, smiling and petting the beast's back.

This is one of those paces where they keep tigers like pets and people can take selfies, feed them etc etc.#Indians #tigers #thailand #AnimalAbuse pic.twitter.com/7Scx5eOSB4
The trainer was right there with them, instructing the tiger with a stick. But as soon as the tourist sat to take a selfie with the tiger, the creature attacked. Then, all we could hear were the horrifying screams of the man as everyone was trying to save him from the tiger's grip.
Within a few hours of posting, the video has already garnered over 2.5 million views. People are flooding the comment section with concerns and safety guidelines.
One user. Shoba Memon says, "These tigers are drugged & abused," pointing out the possible torture and poor conditions of tigers in such commercialised parks.
Another user points out the possible reason for the tiger's attacking reaction. The user kdmangale says, "Cats generally do not like being petted on the lower (back) body, especially near butts," and we could see that the man made a mistake here by doing so.
To prevent such mishaps, tourists need to take their safety more seriously. Following the trainer's instructions and guidelines is a must. One needs to maintain a safe distance and avoid too much touching. Restrain from taking close selfies and videos, as they can also annoy the creature.
This recent viral video raises concerns about the safety precautions at such animal parks again. Tourists will also have to be aware of the potential dangers of getting too friendly with wild animals.
