Attacks on Taliban-stricken Afghanistan are increasing continuously. According to the information, the country's Kandahar airport has been attacked with a rocket. The news agency AFP has given information about this incident. AFP news agency quoted officials as saying that three rockets were fired at Kandahar airport, two of which hit the runway. After this all flights from the airport were cancelled.

Meanwhile, an official of the Civil Aviation Authority in Kabul has confirmed the rocket attack. The Taliban have launched repeated attacks on the outskirts of Kandahar for weeks, raising fears that the insurgents are on the verge of capturing the provincial capital.

No casualties were reported in the attack that took place late on Saturday night. All flights have been canceled after the attack. At the same time, according to sources, Taliban's hand is believed to be behind the attack, because this attack has happened at a time when Taliban fighters have surrounded Herat, Lashkar Gah and Kandahar from all sides.

Kandahar is the second largest city in Afghanistan and is important for the army because it is also used to send weapons and logistics from the airport here. That is why the Taliban are doing such attacks to weaken the Afghan army by capturing this airport. The Taliban have increased attacks in the area in the last 2-3 weeks.
