Another perilous Covid19 outbreak in China – 10% of the World Population may get afflicted in the next 3 months

Covid19: Another dangerous outbreak of Covid19 pandemic is apparently visible in the originating country i.e. China. Several epidemiologists have cautioned the world while predicting 60% of China, and 10% of the world population to be infected by Covid19 in the next 3 months, deaths of millions. The alarm bell on another Covid19 spike portends a very precarious outcome, not only for China but also for the entire globe which is still struggling with its grave economic consequences. Another spate of economic and health crises will be disastrous for mankind, especially for those from poor countries.

After the easing of Covid-19 restrictions, China is experiencing a massive surge in coronavirus cases. Hospitals are completely overwhelmed in China, reported Eric Feigl-Ding, an epidemiologist and health economist. China has been ruthless in terms of curbing press freedom. Still, whatever information emanating from various credible sources, it is estimated that at least 200 bodies are arriving each day at every crematorium in China, cremations conducted in the middle of the night to avoid any flaring up of such devastating news.

A staggering 60% of China’s population and 10% of World Population will be afflicted by Covid19 in the next 3 months

The epidemiologist estimates that more than 60 per cent of China and 10 per cent of Earth’s population are likely to be infected over the next 90 days with deaths likely in the millions.

One of Beijing’s renowned crematoria for Covid-19 patients has been flooded with dead bodies in recent days as the virus sweeps through the Chinese capital, providing adequate tip-off of the colossal human loss after China’s slackening pandemic restrictions due to nationwide protests against Zero Covid Policy.

Meanwhile, the epidemiologist Feigl-Ding stated in disdain that the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) goal is to “let whoever needs to be infected, infected, let whoever needs to die, die. China has reported no Covid deaths in Beijing since the authorities announced four deaths between November 19 and 23. The information office for China’s cabinet, the State Council, didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on the latest outbreak.

Beijing Dongjiao Crematory, which is operated by Beijing municipality and which the National Health Commission has designated to handle Covid-positive cases, has experienced a quantum jump in requests for cremation and other funerary services, according to people who work at the compound. Since the resurgence of the pandemic, the crematorium workers are forced to work day and night without any weekly off.

More than 200 dead bodies are arriving daily in each crematorium

An estimated 200 bodies are arriving each day at the crematorium, from 30 or 40 bodies on a typical day. The increased workload has taxed the crematorium staff, many of whom have become infected with the fast-spreading virus in recent days, she said.

Feigl-Ding the epidemiologist has further predicted that the time to be taken for double the casualty numbers may be less than a day or even ‘hours’ and that will lead to a global catastrophe, of course, China will have a devastating effect. He added that the deaths in mainland China are grossly underreported under intense pressure from the government.

According to the epidemiologist, cremation in Beijing is nonstop. Morgues are overloaded, and refrigerated containers are needed. 2000 bodies backlogged for cremations.

The majority of China’s 1.4 billion people remain vulnerable to the virus because of unlimited exposure, low vaccination rates and poor investment in emergency care.

Possible consequences to the world and India…

Now, looking back to 2020-21 when the entire world was engulfed by the epidemic fire, the global economy witnessed one of the worst crises in recent history, millions of deaths and unprecedented misery to the poor and middle class – what is there stored for rest of the world now? Will it escalate to earlier proportions? Will the world be able to stave off the economic predicament and to what magnitude? And for India what will be the possible consequences and how the country will fight against another spate of this virulent disease?

The world is more prepared now…

Obviously, the effect will not be as deadly as earlier, because the global community has taken the jab at least twice. The necessary immunity has been built-in. The world has the required experience to fight back with all its resources and is more or less prepared to take the challenge now contrary to our earlier approach when we were taken aback. A systematic, combined global effort to thwart the effect of the epidemic should be the best possible approach, besides a total to-and-fro travel ban with China for a certain period. Import from China should feasibly be stopped at the moment because goods can also be a carrier of the virus.

Great resilience shown by Indians in 2020-21 – amazing economic growth for the country

As for India, the citizens have displayed amazing resilience in the past when no one was prepared for the deadly pandemic, with no knowledge and no experience still India fought with resolute convictions. And now since the entire population has taken at least 2 jabs, the immunity level is prepared to combat the lethal virus. Besides the economy of the country has unpredictably fared much better than expectations, rather there has been enormous growth with multiple openings of new sectors like the chip industry – obviously with proactive government support policies, the rise in the number of ‘Unicorns’ in India is the highest in the world and there are many positives that have happened for India – India now being considered as the ‘Pharmacy Capital’ of the world after the historic invention of ‘Covid Vaccination’.

All these have happened even though the country with such a large population was combating one the most disastrous pandemic – obviously pandemic has made the people stronger in convictions, and fighting spirit much higher than a normal Indian are known for. Now with all preparedness, we may see more positives for the country and its countrymen.
