As a result of its location and underground structure, Pickaxe Mountain has become strategically significant. While talking to the press at the White House, Trump stated that the United States could strike at Pickaxe Mountain “very soon”. This was said during the period when the US was conducting its military operations against Iran. The United States President had continuously been describing their military operations against Iran as actions taken to prevent the latter from acquiring a nuclear weapon. This means that the Iranian underground nuclear installations are still posing a serious threat to Washington.
