According to the information, earlier this year four Indian journalists were in China. It includes two journalists from Hindustar Times, Prasar Bharati and The Hindu. China refused to renew the visas of these people. China’s Foreign Ministry has not said anything in this matter. Chinese journalists working in India

Earlier this month, it was speculated that China would allow Indian journalists to work there. On this, Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bakchi said that “all foreign journalists, including Chinese journalists, are working in India without any difficulty in reporting or media coverage.” He said that “we hope that the Chinese authorities will ensure the continued presence of Indian journalists reporting from China and working there. Both sides remain in contact on this issue.”

Keep in mind that this controversy started when Indian journalists started hiring assistants to help with reporting. The rule is that only 3 assistants can be hired at a time. Apart from this, they will have to go through the supervision of Chinese authorities. Although there is no such restriction in India.
