Donald Trump: United States President Donald Trump has posted an image like an edited Wikipedia page on social media platform Truth.

In the post, Trump is listed as the “acting president of Venezuela.” The page also lists his tenure as both the 45th and 47th President of the United States.

Interestingly, the real Wikipedia page does not list the US President as the acting President of Venezuela. No international body has recognized the recent claim of Donald Trump.

The post by Trump follows the forcible capture of sitting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife on federal drug trafficking charges.

Donald Trump-What Happened After Maduro Capture?

Hours after the Maduro capture incident, the US President declared that the United States of America would be temporarily running Venezuela.

Delcy Rodriguez, the second-in-command of Maduro, has been appointed as the interim President of Venezuela. Rodriguez has demanded the release of Maduro, rejected the US’s claims of authority and declared Maduro as the rightful leader of Venezuela.

In another development, Trump remarked that ExxonMobil is playing too cute after its CEO termed the Venezuelan oil as ‘univestable.’ Trump remarked that he is thinking of blocking ExxonMobil from investing in Venezuela.

During a high-profile meeting, the oil company’s chief executive Darren Woods told Trump that laws of Venezuela need to be changed before it can become an attractive investment opportunity. Woods had also remarked that durable investment protections would need to be provided along with some changes to the country’s hydrocarbon laws. He had added that it is absolutely important in the short term that an assessment of the industry’s current state is performed by a technical team. Woods said once this has been done, his company would be ready to put a team on the ground. Many other executives present at the meeting also expressed similar reluctance.
