Donald Trump: United States President Donald Trump has blasted CBS News’s Norah O’Donnell on 60 Minutes and termed the veteran reporter a “disgrace.”
O’Donnell started reading the reported manifesto of the suspected gunman at the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) dinner.

Donald Trump appeared on 60 Minutes for discussing the shooting that happened at the annual WHCA dinner. A heavily armed man managed to ran through security shortly after the dinner started at the Washington Hilton before he was apprehended by law enforcement officials.

The Suspected Gunman
According to several media reports, the suspected gunman was identified as Cole Allen of Torrance, California. It has been reported that the gunman wrote a manifesto stating he wanted to target a series of administration officials.
Armed with multiple guns and knives, the 31-year-old California man tried to get past a security checkpoint on April 25 night at the WHCA dinner while the US President was present. Allen fired several shots before he was overpowered inside the Hilton hotel. Trump referred to the suspected attackers as “anti-Christian”, “radicalized” and a “pretty sick guy.”
O’Donnell started reading a portion of the gunman’s reported manifesto before Donald Trump. In the manifesto, the gunman had mentioned that he is no longer willing to permit a rapist, paedophile and traitor to coat his hands with their crimes. In reply, Trump angrily said that he is not a paedophile or a rapist. The US President called the CBS News senior correspondent “disgraceful.”
During the shooting incident, one secret service agent was shot but was saved by his bulletproof vest. According to the Secret Service, the agent was injured but in “good spirits.”
