Elon Musk: ‘Chief Twit’ will step down as CEO once he finds “someone foolish enough” as successor

Elon Musk: The ‘Chief Twit’ announced on Tuesday that he will leave his position as Twitter’s CEO once a successor has been found.

“I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams,” Musk stated on Twitter.

Musk’s Tweet:

It happens after Musk asked people to rate his term in a survey, declaring he would “abide by the results.”

On Sunday, just before the deadline, 57.5% of voters had chosen to have him leave.

The survey appeared to be an effort to put an end to his contentious tenure.

After asking the question for about 20 minutes, as the ‘yes’ vote began to gain ground, he said, “As the saying goes, be careful what you wish, as you might get it.”

In response to a remark, he stated, “Finding a CEO is not the issue; the issue is finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive.”

Added he, “No one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive. There is no successor.”
