A German magazine Der Spiegel has published a cartoon making fun of Indians. Through this cartoon, Germany took a dig at India's population leaving behind China to reach number one position. This German magazine has tried to tell through this cartoon that India is still very backward and China which was at number one position in terms of population has made a lot of progress. Trains have been taken as symbols from the maker of the cartoon. An attempt has been made to show progress by showing trains between the two countries and India has been criticized.
Since this cartoon of Germany, many Indians have responded to Germany. Even Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar has responded to the attack through a tweet. He wrote that although, you are trying to make fun of India, but under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, India is moving fast and will soon become a bigger economy than Germany.
At the same time, BJP Vice President Baijayant Jay Panda tweeted that Germany's magazine Der Spiegel means The Mirror. But after this derogatory cartoon, the magazine should be named Resistance Troll. At the same time, he reminded of the history of Germany, in which the black truth of racism and the Holocaust shows the thinking of Germany at that time.
Along with this, a user wrote that Germany's magazine is making fun of India through cartoons. Showing a mirror to Germany, this user claimed that Germany has electrified only 61 per cent railway lines and wants to take it to 75 per cent by 2030. At the same time, 85 percent of the railway line in India has been electrified and the railways is moving fast towards touching the 100 percent figure.
