International Yoga Day 2024: Worldwide celebration of the International Day of Yoga was a testament to the popularity and advantages of this centuries-old Indian practice. In New York, the heart of the city witnessed a unique celebration at Times Square. Yoga practitioners gathered for day-long sessions on the eve of the International Day of Yoga. The Consulate General of India in New York, in collaboration with the Times Square Alliance, hosted special yoga sessions coinciding with the summer solstice, symbolizing balance and harmony.

The 10th International Day of Yoga was observed in Tokyo, Japan, despite the wet weather.
