Iran Protest: Has the Iranian President resigned and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi left Beirut? According to recent reports, Masoud Pezeshkian has resigned wile Abbas Araghchi has left Beirut earlier than expected. Meanwhile, Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has termed Donald Trump “arrogant” and alleged that Trump’s hands were stained with the blood of Iranians. Amid growing nationwide protests in Iran, is this the right time for troops of Donald Trump to go for the kill?

Interestingly, Trump has warned Khamenei in the past that USA would attack Iran with full force if the Iranian government keeps killing innocent protestors.

The state media of Iran has accused “terrorist agents” of Israel and the United States for sparking violence in the Islamic Republic. In a speech broadcast, Khamenei said Iran would not back down in the face of vandalism. Tehran’s prosecutor declared that Iranian protestors may face the death penalty. An Islamic Revolutionary Guard official issued a warning on state television that parents are warned not to send their children to participate in protests else they should not complain if a bullet hits their children.

A black-clad riot-police officer in a Kurdish city in northwest Iran said many in his police station believe that the present-day Iranian regime is all set to collapse any day.

Hossein Hafezian, a New Jersey-based Iran expert and political scientist, remarked the Iranian regime would use brute force as the protests are now an existential threat to them.

A Tehran doctor has confirmed that more than 217 protestor deaths have taken place till now in just 6 hospitals of the country, primarily by live ammunition. If confirmed, the death count of innocent protestors signal a feared cracked presaged by the near-told shutdown of the country’s phone and internet connections by the Islamic regime since Thursday night.

Iran Protest Reaching New Heights

Demonstrations in Iran now span all 31 provinces in the country. The protests that started against an economy free-fall soon gained momentum after Reza Pahlavi, the exiled Crown Prince of Iran, urged Iranians to increase the momentum of their protests to throw out the Khamenei regime.
