Iran Pakistan Air Strike: Tuesday saw missiles fired at two bases of the Baloch militant group Jaish al Adl in Pakistan, according to Iranian official media. The day before, Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards had used missiles to hit targets in Syria and Iraq.
Jaish al Adl's History of Strikes on Iranian Forces
In the vicinity of Iran's border with Pakistan, the militant group has previously launched strikes against Iranian security forces. "These bases were hit and destroyed by missiles and drones," Iranian state media reported, without elaborating.
According to Iran's Nournews, which is connected to the nation's top security organisation, the bases that were hit were situated in Pakistan's Balochistan province. Iran-bordering Pakistan's Balochistan province's communications minister, Jan Achakzai, declined to acknowledge or deny the strike. He continued, "Wait for the response of ISPR," alluding to the public relations arm of the Pakistani military.
Two Children Killed in Missile Attacks
Pakistan declared that two children had perished in the missile attacks and issued a dire warning, stating that the occurrence was "completely unacceptable" and might have "serious consequences".
"A strong protest has already been lodged with the senior official concerned in the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran. Additionally, the Iranian charge d'affaires has been called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to convey our strongest condemnation of this blatant violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and that the responsibility for the consequences will lie squarely with Iran," the statement said. A comment from Iran's foreign ministry was not immediately available.
