Mali Bus Blast: According to hospital officials cited by AFP, a bus struck an explosive device in central Mali on Thursday, leaving at least 11 passengers dead and 53 more injured.

11 people dead and numerous others injured

According to a hospital source, a bus explosion in Mali has left at least 11 people dead and numerous others injured. The Mopti region, a hotbed of extremist militancy, is where the bus collided with an explosive device.

The attack happened in a place where Islamist violence is known to flourish.

According to reports, the explosion only claimed the lives of civilians.

A large number of people have been displaced from their homes and thousands of lives have been lost in the Mali jihadist conflict.
