Senior Pakistani journalist discloses how ISI honeytraps officers, diplomats

ISI honeytraps: Senior Pakistani journalist and former chairman of Pakistan Electronic Media Authority, Absar Alam has revealed ISI’s honeytrap strategies. In a lengthy column titled ‘Business of Videos, Daughters of the Nation and a Painful Reality’,  Absar has written about how ISI lures people including diplomats in its trap.

Absar is known for his stance on anti-military and ISI meddling into politics and government.

ISI makes offer

He has covered the period fron 2014 onwards, and starts with one Batool Rajput who reveals how once ISI offered him to work for them and honey trap anchor and columnist Saleem Sufi. Absar has not disclosed Saifi’s name or that of the ISI officer who made the offer. But he disclosed his name later in a Tweet.

The column has evoked extensive reactions from the media community.

The column also reveals how ISI-PTI nexus in trapping and blackmailing young girls and make videos to blackmail influential people. This also includes diplomats.

Columnist shot at in 2021

It is alleged that Absar was shot at by ISI agents in 2021 in Islamabad outside his house.

Absar has mewntioned former arym chief Bajwa and how he told some journalists how he showed a viseo to chief justice Saqib Nisar of a woman indulging in some immoral acts with a diplomat.

Gen Bajwa told Saqib Nisar “see what kind of efforts we have to make for ‘national interests’ to make others reveal secrets’. Saqib Nisar was greatly impressed by Gen Bajwa’s competence and ability after watching the “sacrifice” rendered by the woman in the video for national service.

Absar writes in the column, “It is impossible for a sensitive person to turn a blind eye to it”. He added, “Is the feat, Gen Bajwa referred to only an incident or a strategy? Are the women, who are asked to give sacrifice Pakistanis or foreigners? What is the future of these women? Do such heinous and ugly plots have any space in our constitution, law, culture, moralities and religion?” he questioned.

Female anchor shares ISI modus operandi

He further recalled another instance when Imran Khan’s sit-in was expected at any moment in 2014. He also shared how a 23-year-old female anchor of a famous TV channel called him in an angry mood and shared the modus operandi of honey-trapping.

She used to visit ISPR, ISI, various army-related operations and projects and programmes along with other journalists in different areas of KPK, Balochistan and Sindh.

The columnist has cited several instances in his article. He writes, “This shows what kind of efforts are made in our name and how the lives of daughters of the nation are destroyed after their exploitation.”
