Panjshir leader Ahmed Masood did not leave Afghanistan ?

Ahmed Masood, the leader of the Panjshir resistance forces, has not left Afghanistan. Iran’s news agency FARS has given this information on Saturday quoting sources. According to the news agency, the news of Masood leaving the Central Asian country and going to Turkey or any other place is just a rumour. It is being told that Masood is in a safe place and he is in touch with many leaders of Panjshir Valley. The news agency has also reported in its report that the Taliban have occupied 70 percent of the main streets of Panjshir.

Meanwhile, the Taliban have claimed that they have completely captured Afghanistan’s Panjshir province, the last stronghold of resistance in the country. On the other hand, Masood-led National Resistance Front (NRF) and Amrullah Saleh, a former Afghan vice-president and who declared himself acting president, have called the Taliban’s claim false. The NRF said that resistance forces are present at all strategic locations in the Valley to continue fighting.
