The dispute between America and Russia regarding drones is increasing. The United States alleged on Tuesday that a Russian fighter jet shot down one of its Reaper drones during a reconnaissance mission, causing it to crash into the Black Sea. But Russia denies that it intentionally shot down the drone. But now, by releasing a video, America has raised questions on Russia’s claims.
The US European Command has released a 42-second video that clearly shows the Reaper drone in flight when a Russian fighter jet approaches from behind and dumps fuel on the drone. Because of which he got spoiled and fell into the sea. US officials said it was intentional.
US Defense Minister warned
US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin issued a statement saying that wherever international law allows flight, America will continue to fly its aircraft. It is up to Russia to operate its aircraft safely and properly. America has termed the incident of dropping the drone as Russia’s negligence and wrong attitude.
Army chief said – Russia deliberately dropped the drone
US Army Chief Mark Miley said that ‘the Pentagon is analyzing video of the incident and trying to find out what happened in the impact’. Mark Miley said that ‘we know that our drone was intentionally intercepted. We know this was done in a deliberately aggressive manner and is extremely wrong and unsafe.”
Russia accused of espionage
At the same time, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Soigu also attacked America during talks with the US Defense Minister. He said that Russia is being spied on by America and now such incidents have increased. For this reason, the incident of drone hitting the fighter plane took place. Russia has also said that the US strategic drone flying off the coast of Crimea is an act of provocation. This can lead to a situation of war between the two countries in the Black Sea region. Russia also said that if the act of provocation continues, it will be given a strong answer.
