Suspected drone strikes near Abu Dhabi airport, fire kills three, including two Indians

A petrol tank was blown up by a suspected drone strike near a major oil storage facility in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital Abu Dhabi, killing three people, including two Indians, and six others were injured.

Local media gave this information on Monday. According to the news agency WAM, ‘Two Indian nationals and a Pakistani national have died due to the explosion, while six others have received mild to moderate injuries.’

According to reports, the Houthi movement belonging to Yemen’s Iran has said that this attack was carried out in the UAE. A huge cloud of clouds can be seen rising.

Earlier, local media had reported that three fuel tanks exploded near the depot of Abu Dhabi’s National Oil Company, but the cause was not immediately known. A Houthi military spokesman later told broadcaster Almasirah that they would soon release details of their military operations in UAE territory. This incident in Abu Dhabi has happened just days after a UAE ship was seized by Houthi. The United Nations has condemned this ‘seizure’ and demanded the early release of the ship and its crew.
