Trump's Sharp Criticism of Putin

Donald Trump, known for his earlier stance that he could end the war within 24 hours if re-elected, called Vladimir Putin “absolutely crazy” following the deadly strikes. He also criticized Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and President Joe Biden for escalating the conflict.

In response, the Kremlin dismissed Trump’s remarks as an emotional outburst but confirmed Putin’s openness to talks. Preparations are reportedly underway for a possible Trump-Putin meeting in Saudi Arabia to discuss a ceasefire plan.

Meanwhile, the U.S., UK, France, and Germany have agreed to lift range restrictions on weapons supplied to Ukraine, allowing Kyiv to use long-range missiles to strike targets up to 200 miles inside Russia. This move has been condemned by the Kremlin as dangerous and counterproductive to peace efforts .
