Twitter: Blue Tick Subscription Starts in these Countries, Arrives in India in Less Than a Month

Twitter: The blue and white tick will eventually require payment from Twitter users. Elon Musk, the company's lone board member and the head of Twitter, said last week that blue tick will cost money. Users that require the blue tick must pay $8 each and every month. Details on the $8 subscription have not been confirmed by the company.

iOS users can subscribe to Twitter verification in a few countries.

The US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK are among these markets. When asked when the verified subscription would be available in India, Musk replied, "hopefully, less than a month." The cost to obtain the blue tick in India hasn't yet been made public.

The microblogging platform is promoting a new update that discloses information about the Twitter verification subscription in the wake of the major layoffs. Initially, only iOS users will have access to the update. According to the current information, the Blue tick subscription would cost $7.99 per month.

New features to be introduced along with subscription

In addition to the blue tick, the subscription will include a host of new features. It will provide "far better ones" in place of half the advertising. The update said: "Since you’re supporting Twitter in the battle against the bots, we’re going to reward you with half the ads and make them twice as relevant." Blue users will also be able to upload longer films to the website.

Additionally, the membership will provide high-quality content priority ranking. "Your content will be prioritised in searches, comments, and responses. This makes scams, spam, and bots more visible" the news update said.

According to Twitter CEO Musk, the firm is developing a number of new features for upcoming upgrades. According to him, "Twitter will soon add ability to attach long-form text to tweets, ending absurdity of notepad screenshots."  Additionally, he stated that "creative monetization for all sorts of material" is also on the way and that more information will be made public in two weeks.

Twitter already provides blue tick verification without charging. The business requests that users apply for verification by providing the necessary information. The dedicated Twitter staff then confirms the information and assigns blue ticks to users.

In the meantime, Twitter is very active. The business has let go of nearly half of its workers.
