MP News: Intense Cold Grips Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Zero Temperatures Recorded in Several Districts

Madhya Pradesh is experiencing severe cold conditions, especially during the night, with temperatures dropping to 10 degrees Celsius or below in 22 districts. In some districts, the nighttime temperatures plummeted to as low as 6 degrees Celsius. The city of Rewa recorded the lowest temperature at 4.6 degrees Celsius, while Navgaon reported 4.8 degrees Celsius, and Datia and Satna recorded 5 and 5.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Weather experts, including H.S. Pandey, suggest the activation of a Western Disturbance in northern India from Tuesday onwards. The impact of this disturbance is expected to be felt in Madhya Pradesh after two days, potentially bringing cloud cover to various districts, including Bhopal and Indore. While rainfall is not anticipated, the system’s passage is likely to initiate a prolonged cold spell in the state.
