India Coronavirus Updates: 6,650 new COVID-19 cases have been registered

India Coronavirus Updates: In India, on the morning of Friday, 6,650 new COVID-19 cases have been registered in the country in the last 24 hours, which is 11.3 percent less than yesterday. At the same time, 374 people have died due to corona infection in the country in the last one day.

According to the latest data of the Ministry of Health, a total of 11,65,887 samples were tested in 24 hours on Thursday. So far, a total of 66,98,09,816 sample tests have been done in the country. In the last 24 hours, 57,44,652 doses of Covid vaccine were administered in the country, with which 1,40,31,63,063 doses have been given so far under the vaccination drive in the country.

6,650 new cases have been reported in 24 hours.

One day 374 people have died.

The recovery rate is running at 98.40%, which is the highest since March 2020.

In the last 24 hours, 7,051 people have been cured. So far 3,42,15,977 people have been cured of corona in the country.

Active cases are less than 1 percent of the total cases. Currently it is at 0.22%.

There are currently 77,516 active cases in the country.

Daily positivity rate is running at 0.57%.

Weekly positivity rate is at 0.59%.

Talking about the worrying variant Omicron, so far 358 cases of Omicron have been reported in India. However, 104 of these people have become infection free or have gone to other places. These cases have come up in 17 states and union territories.

Amidst its concern, PM Modi on Thursday reviewed the current situation of the Covid epidemic. He called for increasing the vaccination and increasing vigilance again among the people. The governments of many states are also taking precautionary measures in view of the threat of Omicron.
