Bigg Boss 19 is all set to return on 24 August with Salman Khan as host and a fresh twist that’s already making headlines. This season will feature a political theme where contestants will be split into two groups (the ruling party and the opposition). Every week, “satta badal” challenges will decide which group takes control, adding strategy to the usual drama.
Hunar Hali And Payal Dhare In Bigg Boss 19?
Although the official contestant list isn’t out yet, rumours suggest television actress Hunar Hali and gaming influencer Payal Dhare, also known as Payal Gaming, might be part of the line-up. Social media page Bigg Boss 24*7 has claimed the two are confirmed for the show, but there’s been no official word from the makers or the stars themselves.
Hunar Hali is known for her roles in Chhal – Sheh Aur Maat, Thapki Pyaar Ki, and Veer Hanuman. She is appreciated for her strong screen presence and ability to handle intense situations, which could help her in the competitive environment of Bigg Boss.
Payal Dhare is a popular YouTuber with nearly 4 million subscribers. She’s known for her humour, gaming skills, and strong social media influence. Her digital presence could give her an edge in tasks that involve audience interaction. Earlier this year, she met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Maha Kumbh 2025, which brought her additional media attention.
Sharad Malhotra Confirms He’s Not Participating
Several names have been linked to the upcoming season, including Sharad Malhotra, Faisal Shaikh (Mr Faisu), Dhanashree Verma, Sreeram Chandra, Shailesh Lodha, Gaurav Khanna, Meera Deosthale, Mamta Kulkarni, Apoorva Mukhija, Purav Jha, Rati Pandey, Mallika Sherawat, Meenakshi Seshadri, Tanushree Dutta, Shraddha Arya, and Dheeraj Dhoopar.
Sharad Malhotra, however, has shut down rumours of his participation. Speaking to Times Now, he said, “There’re talks every year, but things don’t work out. If I do the show, I will first let my fans know.”
Reports suggest Salman Khan will divide contestants into the ruling party and opposition on the opening night itself. Elections will then be held to choose the leader, and ministers will also be appointed. This structure is expected to create alliances, debates, and power struggles, making the season more unpredictable.
