Twinkle Khanna has once again found herself in the middle of online trolling. The actor-turned-author recently made a bold statement on her talk show Two Much With Twinkle and Kajol, where she said that older people are “much better” at hiding their affairs and the internet had plenty to say about it.

In the latest episode, Twinkle and Kajol were joined by filmmaker Farah Khan and actor Ananya Panday. The group discussed how different generations approach love, relationships and boundaries. During the “agree or disagree” segment, a prompt asked if older people are better at hiding their affairs than the younger generation.
Twinkle, Farah and Ananya agreed. Twinkle Khanna laughed and said, “Older people are much better, lots of practice.” Ananya added, “You all are too good.” Kajol disagreed and said that younger people are more private and skilled at hiding things. She said, “I feel younger people are much better at hiding everything about their lives, affairs.”
Ananya then pointed out how social media makes it harder for younger people to keep anything secret. Farah Khan also mentioned that the younger generation shares everything online, even when they are not in love.
The conversation moved to another topic – whether modern relationships end too quickly. The hosts debated a statement that said, “Today’s kids change their partners faster than they change outfits.” Twinkle stood by it and called it a positive shift. She said, “It’s a good thing because in our time, it was like – What will people say? We can’t do this. They are changing their partners quickly, and I think it’s a good thing.”
Ananya disagreed, saying that people have always changed partners and the difference now is that everything is more visible. Twinkle added that young people move on easily because they carry “no baggage.”

Twinkle’s remark about older people hiding affairs did not go down well with many online users. After the episode aired, social media was flooded with comments mocking her and even dragging her husband Akshay Kumar into the debate.

The couple married in 2001 and are parents to two children, Aarav and Nitara.
Twinkle’s comment may have been made in jest, but it has once again reignited debates online.
