AAP Leader Anurag Dhanda Hits Out at BJP Again, Alleges Misuse of Tribal Welfare Funds

With Dhanda reiterating the allegations now, the debate has resurfaced, intensifying demands for accountability over the use of tribal welfare funds.

Once again asserting a strong and vocal opposition stance, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Anurag Dhanda has launched a sharp attack on the ruling BJP, accusing it of misusing funds meant for tribal welfare. Targeting the BJP government in Gujarat, Dhanda alleged that crores of rupees allocated for the welfare of tribal communities were spent on arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reception.

Anurag Dhanda had earlier addressed this issue during a press conference alongside former minister Saurabh Bharadwaj. Reiterating the same allegations, he shared a clip from that interaction and once again cornered the BJP. His remarks have sparked fresh political debate and are gaining traction on social media.

Anurag Dhanda Raises Tribal Welfare Issue with Strong Words

Highlighting the issue of tribal rights, Anurag Dhanda accused the BJP of diverting funds meant for marginalized communities. Speaking bluntly, the AAP leader said the money allocated for tribal development was not used for public welfare but for political showmanship.

He stated,
“The BJP government in Gujarat spent ₹50 crore meant for tribal welfare on welcoming Prime Minister Modi. BJP has consistently exploited Dalits, backward classes, and tribal communities.”
Following these remarks, the issue has once again come under the political spotlight, with questions being raised over the BJP’s governance and priorities.

BJP Targeted Earlier as Well

This is not the first time Anurag Dhanda has made such allegations. Earlier, he, along with former minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, had held a press conference in Delhi, citing information obtained through an RTI filed by AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava. During that briefing, Dhanda claimed that the Gujarat BJP government misused funds earmarked for tribal welfare by diverting them to events related to the Prime Minister’s visit.

That controversy had also triggered widespread political reactions. With Dhanda reiterating the allegations now, the debate has resurfaced, intensifying demands for accountability over the use of tribal welfare funds.
