Cloud cover, intermittent showers, and gusty winds have led to a noticeable drop in daytime and night-time temperatures, catching many residents off guard.

Under the orange alert, the IMD has advised residents to remain cautious, particularly during early morning and late evening hours. Reduced visibility, slippery roads, and sudden showers could disrupt daily commutes, especially in low-lying areas of Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram.
Authorities have urged people to limit unnecessary travel and stay updated on weather advisories.
Temporary Breather for Delhi’s Air Quality
The rainfall has also offered a short-term respite from pollution, washing down dust and airborne pollutants. Several monitoring stations recorded a marginal improvement in air quality levels, leading to cautious optimism among Delhiites who have endured weeks of smog.
However, environmental experts warn that the improvement may be temporary. Once rainfall subsides and wind speeds drop, pollution levels could rebound due to vehicular emissions and winter inversion layers.
