Ajit Pawar Death: that Ajit Pawar was thinking of leaving the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), said the West Bengal CM.

Ajit Pawar Death: Mamata Banerjee, the sitting Chief Minister of West Bengal, has demanded a Supreme Court monitored investigation into the untimely demise and plane crash of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

Banerjee claimed that Ajit Pawar was thinking of leaving the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The West Bengal CM said it is shocking that political leaders of the country are not safe too. Banerjee added she does not trust any other agency but only the Supreme Court of India.

The Death Of Ajit Pawar

Ajit Pawar took off from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai to Baramati Airport before his plane crashed after veering off runway 11. Pawar was to attend four political meetings ahead of the local body polls next month.

The twin-engine flight jet was commonly used for corporate and VIP travel; it was considered suitable for regional airports such as the Baramati Airport.

Pappu Yadav Expresses Similar Comments

In a post on X, Congress MP Pappu Yadav also expressed “surprise” at how influential personalities such as former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, CDS Bipin Rawat and Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar have all died in plane crashes.

The Learjet A45 XR Aircraft in which the Maharashtra Deputy CM was travelling was previously involved in a crash as well. On 14 September 2023, a Learjet 45 XR owned by VSR Ventures crash landed at the Mumbai Airport. However, all occupants were safely evacuated that time with no fatalities and no injuries were reported.
