King Charles III: In a light-hearted and warm tone, King Charles III commented on the deep historical and cultural ties between the United Kingdom and USA. During his speech at Congress, King Charles remarked that Americans would have been speaking French if Britain had not intervened.

King Charles was referencing to a statement by Trump wherein he remarked that European countries would be speaking German if the United States had not intervened.

Reaction Of Donald Trump

United States President Donald Trump congratulated King Charles on his fantastic speech at Congress. Trump hilariously commented that King Charles got the Democrats to stand and he had never been able to do that and that’s just unbelievable.

Trump also said that King Charles agrees with him on Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The US President went on to claim massive military success against the Islamic Republic of Iran and added that the United States of America would never allow opponents to procure nuclear weapons. Interestingly, Charles didn’t speak about Iran or the Iran war.

As a constitutional monarch, King Charles didn’t spoke on behalf of the British government and his comments stayed focused on broader themes rather than geopolitics.

King Charles presented a bell to the US President from the British submarine HMS Trump that was launched in 1944 during World War II.

In another development, King Charles met top US tech leaders and discussed hurdles for early-stage startups while touting UK as the top destination for technology firms. King Charles III and Camilla would travel to New York on Wednesday to visit the 9/11 memorial ahead of the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
