2023 Kia Sonet facelift: Kia will likely release the vehicle before introducing the new Sonet facelift in India in December of current year. New spy photos show a test mule that was sighted in India, where the vehicle has already been seen conducting testing.
Exterior Design according to the spied look
The 2023 Kia Sonet is well camouflaged on the outside. The new dual-tone alloy wheels, red brake callipers, black roof rails, LED DRLs, and a dual-tone rear bumper are a few of the distinguishing features. The Seltos redesign is probably what inspired the new LED tail lights. It will also get updated front and rear bumpers, an LED light strip at the back and perhaps a 360-degree camera system.
Interior design and features
The interior of the new Kia Sonet might have new upholstery, a dashcam, and a sizable single-piece item on the dashboard that holds a touchscreen infotainment system and fully digital instrument console. Wireless charging, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, and an electric sunroof are already included in the list of features. An ADAS suite might also be on the table.
Kia Sonet facelift: Engine and powertrain
The facelifted Kia Sonet is anticipated to feature the same powertrain options as the outgoing model under the hood. These now consist of a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, 1.5-liter diesel engine, and 1.2-liter NA petrol engine.
Expected launch
The Sonet was introduced by Kia in India in September 2020. The Sonet should get a facelift by the end of 2023 if we follow the product refresh cycle for a car in India. We do not anticipate the Sonet facelift to arrive on our shores prior than the Seltos facelift, though, as that is its elder sibling and has not yet had its facelift. The debut of the Sonet facelift is unlikely to happen before early 2024, assuming Kia India launches the Seltos facelift around this holiday season.
