Honda Gold Wing: Honda has applied for several patents over the past year to increase the safety of its motorcycles. Here is what we know about one of its most recent patents that has recently been disclosed online.
According to the most recent document, Honda is developing a more advanced navigation system that takes weather into account and shows the rider a much more practical and secure route. For better outcomes, the system could also gather data from Honda vehicles currently on the road. The upgraded navigation system is probably going to download the weather report from the internet and send it to the bike, rerouting to avoid the severe weather.

Honda also hopes to integrate the system with the bike's electronics. For reference, both the heated grip and the electronically adjustable visor can be set to automatically adjust for weather changes. To provide a clearer image of the road ahead, it also intends to access data from sensors on other moving vehicles. Honda had also applied for patents for a system using radar-based technologies to assist riders in avoiding obstacles such as potholes and more. This is primarily aimed towards motorcycles rather than cars.
