Hyundai Mufasa debuts in China, will come with ADAS, all we know about this amazing SUV so far

Hyundai Mufasa: The most recent vehicle to be unveiled by Hyundai is called the Mufasa, and it pays homage to a beloved character from the widely acclaimed Lion King film. Hyundai has developed this model exclusively for the Chinese market in a left-hand drive arrangement, though the reason for the naming method remains unclear.

Hyundai Mufasa design and dimensions

The Hyundai Mufasa, a model available solely in China, will be the lineup’s fifth SUV. The rectangular narrow-strip taillight is what draws attention. The vehicle is 4 475mm long, 1 850mm wide, and 1 665mm tall, with seating for five people. The curb weight is 1464 kg and the wheelbase is 2 680 mm.

A shark fin antenna, an LED light bar connecting the taillights, a sporty rear bumper, a huge panoramic sunroof, ORVMs finished in black with cameras, appliques in grey on the C and D pillars, and other distinctive design features are also noteworthy. The interior of Mufasa has not yet been captured on camera. In light of this, we can anticipate certain similarities to the Kia Sportage.

Specifications

A conventional 2,0 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine built in China serves as the vehicle’s power source. A model the size of the Mufasa might struggle with the 120 kW output. Hyundai asserts a top speed of 187 km/h in spite of this. The car will also come with ADAS under the hood.

The Hyundai Mufasa is expected to make its debut at the 2023 Shanghai Motor Show next month. Within a few months of its debut, the Mufasa will be available for purchase in the Chinese auto market.
