Mahindra Thar gets an Upgrade: In Delhi. As soon as it was unveiled, Maruti Suzuki's Jimny started to pose a serious threat to Mahindra's most well-liked SUV, the Thar. It was said that Jimny posed a significant threat to Thar and Gurkha even before it was launched. The fact that the Jimny was a 5-door SUV was the main justification behind this. However, Thar will soon introduce its five-door model. Recently, it was discovered once more while being tested on the road. It is now known that Mahindra would introduce it to the market in the following two months. However, the business hasn't yet released any formal information on the launch.

Mahindra Thar gets an Upgrade: What's new??

The new 5-door Thar will reportedly have a longer wheel base than the present model. Its rear seats will have greater room as well. The boot space of this Thar will also be expanded by the business. In addition, the alloy wheel design will differ from the existing version.

Know about the changed design

There won't be a soft top option for the new 5-door Thar; just the hard top will be available. Along with this, several modifications to its design will be made. It will have features including a sunroof, new front armrest, and new headliner.

Know about the old engine design

The old engine will still have to work for the new Thar. An 130 PS diesel engine with a displacement of 2.2 litres will power it. In contrast, the petrol engine will have a 2.0 litre turbo. There will be 44 and 42 options available for both engine options. With this, both automatic and manual gearbox will be available.

Will it's price compete with Jimny

Since Jimny's low pricing is another important factor in the speedy booking of this vehicle, Thar also introduced its base model at a price of less than 10 lakhs. It is currently anticipated that the five-door model will also be released to compete with the Jimny's price. However, neither business has yet made public the prices of its cars.
