Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: The adventure motorcycle the entire world has been waiting for is the Himalayan 450. This Royal Enfield is marketed as having a blend of tough style, fantastic and approachable performance, and practical amenities.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Engine

Royal Enfield designed the Himalayan 450 as an upgrade for riders who need greater power from their off-road motorcycles. The 450cc liquid-cooled engine for this ADV will be constructed on a new platform. The Himalayan's engine will produce about 40 horsepower, but it will have more low and midrange torque.

Brand new design language

The Himalayan 450 receives a whole new design language, which is true in a sense. But if you pay close attention, you can detect certain references to the Himalayan 411. The frame that connects the gasoline tank and the headlamp assembly, for instance, has a distinct Himalayan vibe. The circular headlight also has a Himalayan appearance. And now, if you look at the spoke wheels, they match those on the oil-cooled Himalayan exactly. In fact, the Himalayan 450 also has wheels that are 21 inches in front and 17 inches on the back. Therefore, we may anticipate that RE will employ the same wheels on this new bike. Also available from Royal Enfield is a spoke wheel with tubeless tyres.

Know about the price and launch

Between the 410cc oil-cooled and 650cc parallel-twin motors will be the 450cc platform. Therefore, the Himalayan 450 might start at about Rs 2.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which puts it quite close to the Interceptor 650 in terms of price. In September 2023, the Himalayan 450 will be introduced in India.
