Engine details

For the Gixxer 250 SF, Suzuki has created a unique oil-cooled engine. This 249cc single-cylinder engine is entirely oil-cooled and lacks cylinder block fins. By circulating the fluid through the pressure-sensitive regions, it uses engine oil to cool the engine. The peak torque is somewhat lower at 22.2Nm in the BS6-compliant variant, but it produces the same amount of power (26.5PS) as the BS4 version.

The F250’s 249.07cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine is the largest Pulsar engine yet and was installed by Bajaj. It has a 5-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and produces 24.5PS and 21.5Nm.

Features

Suzuki used the same design aesthetic for the Gixxer 250 SF as it did for the smaller Gixxer SF. They have the same appearance, but the two models can be distinguished by minor colour changes. The Suzuki Gixxer 250 now has an LED tail and headlights, giving it a somewhat robocop-like appearance. It sports a full-digital instrument cluster with the typical amount of information seen on a motorbike of its calibre, including a gear position indicator, a clock, and a few trip metres.

With an LED projector headlamp and LED DRLs that resemble boomerangs, a charging outlet, and a semi-digital console, the Pulsar F250 is fairly feature-rich. The speedometer, trip metre, gear position indicator, fuel level readout, and clock are all displayed on the digital screen, while the tachometer is displayed on the retro analogue dial. A range and fuel economy indicator are also available. Unfortunately, there is no smartphone connectivity available. The half fairing of the Pulsar F250 gives it a sportier flair without sacrificing functionality. Both the handlebar and the footpegs are slightly rear-set, and the handlebar is rather wide and upright. A USB charging port is also included on the motorcycle.

Price in India

Suzuki Gixxer 250 SF costs Rs 2,02,000 for the Metallic Matte Stellar Blue and Metallic Matte Black No.2 colour schemes and Rs 2,02,500 for the high-end dual-tone “Metallic Sonic Silver with Triton Blue” (both ex-showroom Delhi).

The Pulsar F250 is priced by Bajaj at Rs. 1,40,666 for the regular model and Rs. 1,49,978 for the Brooklyn Black (dual-channel ABS) model (both prices ex-showroom Delhi).
