Tata Nexon Red Dark: With new safety features along with the new paint variant, this SUV could well give others a tough competition

Tata Nexon Red Dark: The Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition will soon be available in India thanks to Tata Motors. The addition of Dark elements to the compact-size SUV will update its appearance, which will be accompanied by other changes to its features and appearance. This model's update coincides with an update to the current SUV lineup from the Indian automaker. In other words, the updated version will also be available for Nexon, Tata Harrier, and Safari. Prior to the launch in the Indian market, the brand recently teased the three models.

Expectations from the company

Tata Nexon already offers a Dark Edition in India, but the company hopes to introduce a sportier model with the Red Dark Edition. The Safari and Harrier Red Dark Editions that Tata Motors displayed at the Auto Expo 2023 provide a hint as to what changes can be anticipated for the Nexon.

Exterior features

The new version of the car will have Oberon Black Shade on the exterior. The front grille, alloy wheels, and other body parts will be highlighted with red paint, among other places. Additionally, it's likely that some chrome will be applied to the body to highlight particular features.

Tata Nexon Red Dark: Interior features

The interior of the car will also receive similar updates in line with the new colour scheme. Red upholstery and distinctive design elements for the grab handles and dashboard of the car may be used to give the interior of the car a sporty appearance. Additionally, elements such as AC vents and control buttons will be highlighted.

Tata Nexon Red Dark: Other features

On the Tata Nexon Red Dark edition, several new features were visible. There probably won't be any surprises on the brand-new equipment list for Dark Red variants. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital TFT instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front ventilated seats, an air purifier, a 6-way powered driver seat with memory function, more than 200 voice commands in six languages, and a wireless charger are likely to be available for the vehicle.

Upgraded safety features and powertrain

Lane departure warning, lane change alert, high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, rear collision warning, and rear cross-traffic alert are a few of the ADAS features that could be added for safety.

These modifications will probably isolate the sub-4-meter SUV's powertrain. Therefore, it is anticipated that the Nexon Red Dark edition will have the same 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine with the choice of a 1.5-liter turbo diesel. One of two 6-speed transmissions—a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT—will be used with these engines.
