This EV will be available in three versions in the global market, but only as an entry-level model in India. The MEB front-wheel drive chassis will be used to construct this electric vehicle.

The motor will simultaneously produce 226PS of power. This electric vehicle should have a range of about 450 kilometres. According to reports, this VW ID 2 has a 57kWh battery pack. Charging from 0% to 80% will take 20 minutes.

The Volkswagen ID 2 electric vehicle may resemble a small SUV and be over 4 metres long. Volkswagen will exclusively produce this automobile in India, according to reports. After 2025, it’s anticipated that sales will begin. Volkswagen’s electric vehicle will face competition from the Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Kona EV once it is released.

Volkswagen is also preparing to launch the Volkswagen ID4 electric crossover in India. The corporation has also begun experimenting in this area. This electric vehicle will be equipped with a 77kWh battery pack that will be linked to a rear-mounted electric motor. This configuration will produce 204bhp and 310Nm of torque. It has a range of up to 520 kilometres when completely charged. This electric Vehicle has an 8.5 second 0 to 100 kmph acceleration time. Its battery pack can reportedly be fully charged with a 125kW DC charger in 30 minutes.
