Maruti Suzuki Fronx Facelift to Come with Aggressive Styling, Enhanced Infotainment and Safety Upgrades, Will It Win Back Young Buyers?

The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Fronx facelift targets young urban buyers with bolder styling, a larger touchscreen, richer connectivity and stronger safety features. By blending coupe‑SUV design with updated tech and ADAS‑grade upgrades, the refreshed Fronx aims to reclaim its appeal in India’s crowded compact SUV segment while staying within an accessible price band.

Maruti Suzuki plans to modernize the Fronx by 2026, creating a new sporty and technological SUV coup to attract young, aspirational buyers. This will be accomplished through striking styling, more advanced technology, and additional safety features.

Aggressive New Design Language

The front of the Fronx will have a completely redesigned, more aggressive front with more prominent headlights, a larger grille, new DRL designs (likely with LEDs), more rugged body cladding (bumpers will likely be taller and have a bolder appearance), new alloy wheel designs and sportier side profiles, including new designs for the back of the vehicle.

Bigger Infotainment and Cabin Tech

The inside of the Fronx is expected to feature a larger touchscreen that will support wireless connection through Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Additionally, an all-digital instrument cluster and expanded connectivity capabilities will be incorporated. Ventilated seating, a 360-degree view camera and possibly dealer-added connected functions will be in line with competitive products that young buyers desire, including the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue.

Safety and ADAS‑Grade Upgrades

Another important area for getting ahead is safety. The newer Fronx model is expected to include six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist and a 360-degree camera system. More expensive trim levels are likely to include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems which will give drivers access to features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance.

Will It Win Back Young Buyers?

Historically, the Fronx has been marketed to a younger generation; however, the facelift for 2026 now creates strong competition with their sharper exterior designs, enhanced technology, and enhanced safety to compete with much more expensive products. However, if Maruti keeps pricing for the redesigned Fronx in the ₹8.5–14 lakh range (ex-showroom), it is likely that it will again have strong growth as a first vehicle purchase for new car buyers in the compact SUV segment in India.
