2023 Hero 125cc: With sleek design and powerful engine, this bike is likely to give tough competition to TVS Raider, details

2023 Hero 125cc: Hero is developing two new 125cc motorcycles, one of which would be a sporty model. Now, a brand-new, compact Hero-branded bike has been spotted in testing with a drum back brake and angular appearance, all of which point to this being the exact same bike. First things first, the rear disc brake on this next Hero bike, which is only seen on the simplest commuter-style motorcycles, with the exception of the most cheap Xtreme 160R 2V, identifies it as a 125cc model.

Equipped with new and attractive design

With a sharp, edgy design language as compared to the comparatively plain designs of the Super Splendour and the Glamour, this bike's look is unlike any other 125cc commuter currently produced by Hero. This fast Hero bike appears to have a split seat configuration, unlike both of those bikes. Also appearing to be exclusive to this bike and not present on any other Hero models in the current lineup are the six-spoke alloy wheels.

2023 Hero 125cc: Will it have the new 125cc engine

It is unknown whether the 125cc engine on this bike is brand-new or based on an existing platform, but given its blatantly athletic design, Hero would be negligent to not back up the show with some performance. The exhaust system doesn't appear to be an older model and is unique to this Hero motorcycle. While the specifics of the engine are currently under wraps, it is clear that this motorbike will be the first 125cc Hero to employ a monoshock setup at the rear.

Price and competitor

Because Hero has nearly always been known for its alluring pricing, anticipate the Hero Xtreme 125 to be less expensive than the TVS Raider, which sells for between Rs 93,719 and Rs 1,00,820 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
