3 Upcoming SUVs: Hyundai will debut the Exter micro SUV in India on July 10, 2023, and Kia Seltos' facelifted model may also go on sale in that same month. Next month, the recently launched Honda Elevate's costs may also be revealed. Here, we've outlined all the essential information:
Hyundai Exter
There will be a total of five variations of the Hyundai Exter: the EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect. It will be powered by a 1.2L NA three-cylinder petrol engine with a five-speed manual gearbox (MT) or five-speed automatic manual gearbox (AMT), which is capable of producing 84 PS and 113 Nm. Only the manual version of the factory-fitted CNG variant will be sold through retail outlets. The only direct rival to the Hyundai Exter is the Tata Punch.
Atlas White, Cosmic Blue, Ranger Khakhi, Fiery Red, Starry Night, and Titan Grey are just a few of the six single-tone and three dual-tone paint schemes available for the tiny SUV, which will directly compete with Tata Punch. Atlas White with Abyss Black, Cosmic Blue with Abyss Black, and Ranger Khakhi with Abyss Black are the two-tone colours.
Kia Seltos Facelift
The redesigned Kia Seltos is anticipated to debut in India next month. It will have a new front fascia and a modified tailgate, as well as new taillamps and a new bumper at the back. A new 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine will be used for performance. It produces a maximum torque of 253 Nm and 160 PS, and it may be mated to either a six-speed iMT or a seven-speed DCT. The segment is now led by SUVs from rival companies like Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Tigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara as well as Toyota.
3 Upcoming SUVs: Honda Elevate
Recently introduced, the Honda Elevate is more likely to be on sale at the end of this month or in August. The 1.5L four-cylinder NA petrol engine in the five-seater, which is based on the same platform as the fifth-generation City and produces a maximum of 121 PS and a maximum torque of 145 Nm, provides the vehicle's power. It is set to compete with established players sich as the Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the MG Astor, the Skoda Kushaq, the Toyota Hyryder and the Volkswagen Taigun.
The powertrain will be paired to a six-speed MT or a CVT. The Elevate boasts the largest bootspace and the highest ground clearance in its class. The large pillars and 2,650 mm wheelbase provide plenty of space for passengers. The most recent CR-V and WR-V models offered in foreign markets serve as design influence for the SUV.
