Powertrain Details

The Maruti Suzuki Alto is powered by a 3-cylinder, 796 cc F8D engine. This engine generates 47 horsepower and 69 Nm of torque. The car has a 5-speed manual gearbox. The car’s BS6 engine has been modified extensively both in terms of hardware and software. The Maruti Alto 800 BS6 engine has a 25% reduction in nitrogen oxides. Maruti Suzuki has also improved the exhaust system.

The lone petrol engine available from Renault for the Kwid is a 1.0-litre unit with 68PS and 91NM. Five-speed transmission options include a five-speed manual and a five-speed automatic.

Features onboard

The new Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is equipped with ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, a speed alert system, and a seat belt reminder warning system for the driver and co-driver. Thanks to Maruti’s Bluetooth-enabled Smart Play Dock, you can use your smartphone as the car’s touchscreen. Dual airbags are a feature available in the top-tier Maruti Alto 800 VXI model.

In addition to remote locking, an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, manual air conditioning, front power windows, LED headlights, and an instrument panel with many information displays, the Kwid has a 12-volt charger. Along with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors with cameras, standard features on cars now include the electronic stability programme (ESP), hill start assistance, traction control, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

Price in India

From Rs 3.54 lakh to Rs 5.13 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Maruti Alto‘s price ranged towards the conclusion of its existence.

Starting at Rs. 4.69 Lakh, KWID is priced. There are 7 colour schemes and 7 versions for KWID. KWID’s only automated option has a starting price of Rs. 6.12 lakh.
