The Dominar 250's 250cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve engine is based on the KTM 250 Duke. Dominar 250, however, has twin-spark technology, unlike the 250 Duke. The engine is tuned to produce 26.6bhp at 8,500 rpm and 23.5Nm at 6,500 rpm. A slipper clutch system is part of the six-speed gearbox. The acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour takes 10.5 seconds, and the top speed is 132 kilometres per hour.
