Google launches job search app Kormo Jobs in India with 20 lakh verified listings

Google has launched a new job seeking app in India, “Kormo Jobs” after initializing its pilot phase in Bangladesh and Indonesia. Google revealed that the app is used by liked of Zomato and Dunzo for remote hiring in Pandemic.

For the time being, it lists job opportunities in 10 cities: Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata.

It provides two million verified job listings and career development opportunities to Indian job seekers in fast-growing categories like on-demand businesses, retail, and hyperlocal delivery.

Kormo Jobs comes with features like location-wise job listings, real-time tracking, and fast updates on applications, in-app interview scheduling, guides to build a digital CV, and new skilling content to help users "learn and earn more".

Google had launched Kormo Jobs in Bangladesh in 2018 and then in Indonesia. It had announced same for India, saying, “Encouraged by this momentum and to lend support to employment efforts in a post-pandemic world, we are bringing our Kormo Jobs Android app to India to help even more job seekers discover and apply for jobs across India with an additional gateway.”
