Hyundai Tucson Facelift: Globally, Hyundai is updating its Tucson SUV. Multiple test mules have been spotted in South Korea, and not all Tucson test mules have the same markings. It’s likely that Tucson will come in two separate iterations for several markets. The other is a complete break from the present Tucson, whereas the first is merely a modest iterative tweak.
Tucson is currently being tested for the first time in Europe. Very little has changed, and it’s probable that only the North American and European markets will see it while the Palisade design language is used in other international regions. Let’s look at it.
Hyundai Tucson Facelift: Spotted testing
The South Korean maker has a reputation for frequently defying design traditions. For instance, the design of the Creta makeover made for India is influenced by Palisade, while the Creta made for Indonesia is influenced by Tucson. Both of these versions buck Hyundai’s custom of providing Creta with Santa Fe-inspired looks at the appropriate intervals.
Some noticeable changes
The European and North American versions of the Hyundai Tucson facelift largely adhere to the existing model. There are not many noticeable changes other from the new parametric grille with smaller studs. The same vertically stacked headlight modules remain. A revised design for the bumper places the front parking sensors lower than before.
Hyundai is utilising foam pads to distort camouflage and conceal any design modifications, however the bonnet may reveal some changes. The new alloy wheels are the only difference in the side profile. These are five-spoke wheels, speaking of modern wheels. broadening as they approach the outer ring and become thinner near the hub.
Will this variant launch in India?
The current model also has dual-tip exhaust and connected taillights. Hyundai introduced the Tucson in India last year, and at this point in its life cycle, we don’t anticipate an update. Additionally, the Tucson facelift with Palisade influences is more likely to reach our shores. Hyundai provides a NA 2.5L petrol (187 bhp, 241 Nm) and a 1.6L turbo petrol (226 bhp, 350 Nm) option for international markets.
There is also a PHEV model, which produces 261 horsepower of power. The same 2.5L gasoline engine is used in Tucson N Line models, but it is turbocharged to produce about 290 horsepower of power. Tucson has two different engines in India: a 2.0L petrol (155 horsepower, 192 Nm) and a 2.0L diesel (185 bhp, 416 Nm). Hyundai also offered AWD-equipped diesel models.
