Mahindra Thar 5 door: An upgraded Thar all set to conquer the road? Know about the changes here

Mahindra Thar 5 door: Mahindra, a veteran SUV manufacturer, will soon release a 5-door version of its Thar SUV in the market. This SUV has been spotted several times while being tested on the road. The Thar 5 Door's exterior, interior, and seating layout have already been revealed, and a new report has revealed crucial information about its engine options. It is expected that, like the three-door Thar, the company will release it with 4x4 and 4x2 configurations.

Variants

According to Autocar India, Mahindra will offer petrol and diesel engine options in this SUV, and it is expected to be given 2.2 litre diesel and 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine options, similar to the current Thar. Customers will be able to choose between manual and automatic transmissions.

How will be the exterior?

Concerning the exterior, it is expected to be 300mm longer than the current Thar, with all-new body panels. The overall design of the interior will not change significantly. It will get a new infotainment screen, a front centre armrest, and a sunglass holder.

Will get more space

Because of the longer wheelbase, the Thar 5-door will have more space in the second row. However, it is unclear whether Mahindra will offer a three-seater bench layout. Because of the longer wheelbase, the boot space will undoubtedly be larger than in the 3-door model.
