In addition to this, it may also receive a 2.4-liter hybrid turbo-petrol engine, which is currently seen in some Lexus and Toyota cars in the global market.

New Toyota Fortuner: Know about the launch

If media reports are to be believed, the new Toyota Fortuner might have a new diesel engine with a mild hybrid system. It gets a 1GD-FTV 2.8 liter diesel engine with an integrated starter generator. The engine start/stop system is also shown here. The new model is expected to offer better power and torque and better fuel economy. The new Fortuner might be unveiled early next year. It might be launched in India during the festival season next year.

It is believed that the Toyota Fortuner 2024 will be produced only in India. Toyota is also developing a new 7-seater SUV based on the TNGA-C platform in the near future to compete with other SUVs such as the Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq and Mahindra XUV700.
