Oben Rorr EV Bike: The price of the Oben Rorr electric bike in India, including FAME II and state incentives, is Rs 99,999 ex-showroom Maharashtra. The first electric motorbike from the Bengaluru-based business competes with the Tork Kratos. For the next two years, the company also intends to introduce a new electric two-wheeler every six months.

Battery and range

A chain drive connected to a 10kW frame-mounted motor powers the Oben Rorr. Its claimed top speed is 100 kmph, and it can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 3 seconds. Three modes are available: Eco, City, and Havoc. The City and Eco modes offer 120km and 150km of range, respectively, compared to the advertised genuine range of 100km for Havoc. A 200km IDC (Ideal Driving Conditions) range is promised for the 4.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Using a 15A socket, the charging process takes two hours.

The Rorr boasts an all-LED lighting system from Oben Electric, as well as a fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. Users of the latter can gain access to features like roadside assistance, geo-fencing, geotagging, charging station finder, ride information, and predictive maintenance. Additionally, CBS comes standard on the e-bike.
