Royal Enfield EV Bike: We already know that Royal Enfield is developing an electric motorcycle, which is set to debut in 2025. However, ex-Ola Electric CTO Umesh Krishnappa has joined the company, and an EV team has been established in India and the United Kingdom. Does this imply that the e-motorcycle will be available sooner than expected? Perhaps in 2024?
Work on a dedicated EV platform, codenamed 'L,' has already begun, according to a report. This platform will allow for multiple designs, allowing the bikemaker to cater to a variety of audiences.

Investment plans for the new variant
Royal Enfield is expected to invest between USD 100 and $150 million in the EV space, with an annual sales potential of 1.2 to 1.8 lakh units.
Royal Enfield is working on multiple parallel projects and will enlist the assistance of Stark Future, a Spanish electric dirt-bike manufacturer, for design assistance and to share EV technology. Enfield's parent company, Eicher Motors, had purchased a small stake in the Spanish brand.
Royal Enfield EV Bike: When will we get to see it?
To summarise, we anticipate seeing an electric bike from Royal Enfield sometime in late 2024. While the bike's shape has yet to be determined, we expect the first one to be true to its heritage roots.
Royal Enfield's upcoming models
The Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer has been working on two new 350cc, four new 450cc, and six new 650cc motorcycles. The highly popular Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will also be replaced in 2023 or 2024. The bike will be built on a new platform and will use the Meteor 350's 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. Its design will also undergo significant changes. The new Bullet 350 will have chrome trim around the headlamp, mirrors, and taillamp.
